Program

The course will take place over 5 working days (Monday-Friday), with each day being dedicated to a particular topic within psychological science, and/or a particular class of methods.

Each topic will be led by one faculty member each from UCL and PKU who have expertise in the topic for that day. A full list of dates, topics, and lead Faculty members to be announced.

Each day, students will explore the set topic under the guidance of expert faculty & teaching assistants. Days will begin with small group meetings to discuss the pre-set materials*. Students will then have an opportunity to discuss the content with the lead faculty members before they start work on the day's design challenge in their small TA-led groups. These challenges are briefs set by the lead faculty which outline research questions that the students must target with experimental designs of their own. To close, students will make quick design pitches to the rest of the cohort for feedback.

* Lectures and readings are set ahead of time to maximise learning and engagement.
